Mashed Pumpkin Productions is an independent podcast network based in Queensland, founded by Jack Laurence in September 2022.
Jack Laurence spent 15 years in commercial radio, including the Hughesy and Kate national drive show and 2Day FM Breakfast in Sydney.
In September 2022 he left radio to podcast full time, starting in his kids' toy room with a microphone and a laptop. The first show, One Minute Remaining, gave people serving long sentences in US prisons the chance to tell their own stories. It has since passed 10 million downloads.
Mashed Pumpkin Productions grew from there: Wanted, Crime at Bedtime, Mysteries at Bedtime and What I Survived, which reached the overall US Apple Podcasts top 40 within seven weeks of launch.
The network is still independent and still based in Queensland, and it now helps new creators develop shows of their own.
